Two high-quality directional stereo microphones arranged 90° will capture every detail of a speech, conversation or meeting (regardless of the position of the speaker).

MP3 and linear PCM

Enjoy two formats: Stereo MP3 for recording calls and meetings (up to 128 kbps) and Mono Linear PCM (22.05 kHz) for recording your own speech with less compression.

Noise reduction filter (LCF)

The low-pass filter effectively eliminates noise below 300 Hz generated by air conditioners, projectors and background conversations to enable even clearer voice recordings.

Intelligent Auto Mode

Intelligent auto mode adjusts microphone sensitivity to ensure optimal recording quality. In large rooms, it increases the sensitivity of receiving speech from people far away from the microphone. In small – lowers the sensitivity so that the utterances perceived close up are not too loud. To enable this feature, select “Auto” in the recorder menu.

Built-in USB connector

Thanks to the built-in USB port, you can easily and conveniently save your data. Transfer recordings from the voice recorder to an external hard drive or use the voice recorder as a USB drive to transfer documents on it.

simple mode

With two display modes, the WS recorder is easy to use even for beginners.

In simple mode, only the most important information is displayed (in large font) and the menu contains only the most frequently used functions. Advanced users have access to all functions in normal mode.

Scene selection

With built-in scene modes, your WS-882 will automatically adjust settings to get the best results in different situations. Select, for example, Dictation, Meetings, Conferences or Phone Recording.

Auto indexing mode

When Auto Indexing is turned on, markers are automatically added at points where the audio level drops below the set value for more than 3 minutes, and at points where it returns above the level again. This makes it easy to skip silent parts of a file during playback as you search for the next marker. Index marks can also be added manually (up to 99 in one recording).

Searching for recordings in the calendar

Your saved recordings are automatically dated and displayed in a calendar format – now you can easily find each file.

Voice balance

Voice balance automatically adjusts the volume of speech so that the voices of people who speak softly are amplified, and those who speak louder – do not exceed the preset level. This function can adjust the volume of speech appropriately even when the sound on the recording comes from different places, which is typical in meetings and conferences. In addition, the sound of recorded voices is optimized by removing lower and higher frequencies during playback.

The Shadowing function, helpful in learning a foreign language, repeats the playback of speech and silence. In this way, it helps to practice listening and speaking by repeating patterned phrases. Portions of the recording can be defined as muted, played at low volume or played slowly.

Voice playback

This function alters the pitch of the sound to produce a more audible sound that is less tiring for repeated listening, such as when learning a language. In addition, the function allows you to adjust the speed of playback, which helps to save time while learning.

Slow/fast playback

This function allows you to adjust the playback speed from 0.5x to 2x the original recording speed. When learning a language, the user can listen to the content of the classes in fast-motion, and where he has difficulty understanding a passage in slow motion. The set playback speed remains memorized even when the power is turned off so you don’t have to set it again the next time you use your device.

Noise reduction

Clearer playback in noisy environments. The noise reduction function effectively reduces unwanted ambient noise for clearer playback quality.

Normalization

The Normalize mode reads the maximum volume of the recording from the data, and then automatically, without causing distortion, raises the volume to the set limit. The result is saved as a new file. Even difficult-to-understand or low-key conversations can be processed in the recorder itself without resorting to PC software, and then saved as a file with a volume optimized for better audibility.

Folders

Use folders to keep things organized – the voice recorder offers 5 Audio folders (1 for music files and 1 for podcasts). Up to 400 folders can be created in each of them to efficiently manage numerous files, for example by grouping language learning files into different categories.
