Kingston IronKey Keypad 200 is an OS-independent, hardware-encrypted USB Type-A and USB Type-C drive with an alphanumeric keypad for easy PIN access.

The KP200 is equipped with XTS-AES 256-bit encryption. It is also FIPS 140-3 Level 3 (pending) certified, providing military-grade security with additional features that enhance data security. The memory circuitry is coated with a special epoxy resin that makes it virtually impossible to remove components without damaging them, protecting against attacks on semiconductor chips. The drive is designed to expose any attempt at physical tampering. It is also secured against password attacks using Brute Force and BadUSB methods thanks to digitally signed firmware. The alphanumeric keypad is covered with a polymer layer that protects the keys and prevents fingerprints from guessing the sequence of keystrokes.

The KP200 drive has a built-in rechargeable battery that allows you to unlock it the first time without software and then connect it to any device that supports USB Type-A or USB Type-C storage devices. This gives you maximum flexibility to use the drive on multiple platforms with different operating systems.

With the Multi-PIN (Administrator and User PIN) feature, the drive lets you set easy-to-remember but hard-to-guess alphanumeric PINs for both Administrator and User accounts. The administrator can restore the users PIN and provide access to the drive in the event that the user forgets the PIN or the drive is locked after the maximum number of 10 user login attempts. When both admin and user PINs are enabled, the KP200 locks the user PIN after 10 consecutive failed login attempts. If the admin PIN is entered incorrectly 10 times, Brute Force Protection cryptographically erases the drive, permanently deleting data, and resetting the device.

The drive also offers two levels of read-only (write-protected) modes: general mode, which can be set by the administrator, and session mode, which can be set by the user. Read-only modes protect the drive from malware on untrusted systems. Additionally, the administrator can upload content and set the drive to general read-only mode, allowing the user to access the data but not make changes.

The KP200C offers fast dual-channel performance in capacities from 64GB to 512GB.

FIPS 140-3 Level 3 Certification (Pending)
The KP200 now meets the new military-grade security specification, FIPS 140-3 Level 3, published by NIST. This is an enhanced version of the FIPS 140-2 specification that further enhances the drives security and resistance to physical tampering. The drive features 256-bit XTS-AES encryption and is protected against Brute Force and BadUSB attacks with digitally signed firmware. OS and Device Independence

Multi-PIN Option
Users have the option to choose between User or Administrator/User mode. Administrator mode allows the user to restore the user PIN and provide access to the drive in the event that the user forgets the PIN or the drive locks after the maximum of 10 user login attempts.

General and Session Read-Only Options
Both the administrator and user can set the drive to Session Read-Only mode to protect the drive from malware on untrusted systems. The administrator can also set the drive to General Read-Only mode, which will remain active until the drive is reset.
