The Dahua HDW5442TM-ASE-0280B IP camera is equipped with a 4MP 1 / 1.8 CMOS progressive scan image sensor that provides high resolution in low light. The HDW5442TM-ASE-0280B features a 2.8mm focal length lens. It uses face and vehicle recognition functions. The device can count people, and can track and process moving human targets to provide key information. It supports SD card storage.

The Dahua HDW5442TM-ASE-0280B IP camera has an IP67 water and dust protection rating, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. The HDW5442TM-ASE-0280B camera uses Dahua ePoE technology, which enables long distance transmission of power, video, audio and control signals over 800 meters at 10 Mb/s or 300 meters at 100 Mb/s over Cat5 or coaxial cable by using advanced 2D-PAM3 encoding modulation
