The XGS2220 series is a family of Layer 3 access switches that consists of six models, including PoE, non-PoE and fibre options. The non-PoE models offer Gigabit ports for everyday network access, PoE models provide flexible options with larger PoE budgets and a combination of 60W and 30W ports to power devices such as the latest 6/6E WiFi wireless access points, The fibre model is designed to provide business connectivity for high-density fibre port requirements.

Flexible 10G network for converged network applications

In addition to the four 10G SFP+ master links, the XGS2220 series is equipped with two additional 10G Multi-Gig RJ 45 ports that provide flexibility to connect to servers, network storage or other high-speed network devices. Business can run smoothly with improved expandability and a robust network infrastructure.

Multiple power budget options

PoE models are equipped with 10 PoE++ (IEEE 802.3bt) ports offering up to 60 W per port and 1640 PoE+ (IEEE 802.3at) ports providing up to 30 W per port to meet a variety of applications, including the latest generation of wireless access points.

Within this range, the 3 PoE models of 30 hp, 54 hp and 54 FP can offer higher power budgets of 400 W, 600 W and 960 W respectively, providing the flexibility to efficiently power a full range of PoE devices for applications such as VoIP, surveillance, high density networked AV applications and Zyxel’s portfolio of 6/6E Wi-Fi compression access points.

Dedicated network AV mode

The XGS2220 series includes a customised network AV mode when used in standalone mode. You can switch interfaces to simplify AVoIP installation with an intuitive wizard that displays the high level requirements for this type of network infrastructure, using artificial intelligence, the switch is able to simplify this complexity, applying all the necessary details to configure a professional AVoIP deployment in minutes.When deployed in Networked AV mode, the switch provides a dedicated dashboard for quick access to key AV network elements such as IGMP and IP information, as well as quick access to configuration features often associated with AVoIP deployments.
