Kingston IronKey Keypad 200 Encrypted USB Flash Drive
Memory with 256-bit XTS-AES hardware encryption that meets FIPS 140-3 Level 3 requirements (certification pending). The Kingston IronKey Keypad 200 is an OS-agnostic, hardware-encrypted USB drive with an alphanumeric keypad for easy PIN access.
The KP200 memory is equipped with XTS-AES encryption with a 256-bit key. It is also FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified (pending), confirming military-grade security with additional solutions that increase data security. The memory circuits are covered with a layer of special epoxy resin, which makes it virtually impossible to remove the components without damaging them, thus protecting against attacks on semiconductor systems. The memory is designed to highlight any attempt at physical interference. It is also protected against Brute Force and BadUSB password attacks thanks to digitally signed firmware. The alphanumeric keyboard is covered with a polymer layer that protects the keys and prevents the sequence of pressing them from being guessed through fingerprint analysis.
The KP200 comes with a built-in rechargeable battery that allows it to be unlocked for the first time without using software and then connected to any device that supports USB A mass storage devices. This gives the user maximum freedom to use the memory on multiple platforms with different operating systems. With the Multi-PIN option (Admin and User PINs), the memory allows you to set easy-to-remember, but hard-to-guess alphanumeric Admin and User PINs. The administrator can restore the user’s PIN and provide access to the storage if the user forgets the PIN or the storage locks after the user reaches the maximum number of 10 login attempts. When administrator and user PINs are enabled, the KP200 locks the user PIN after 10 consecutive failed login attempts. If the administrator PIN is entered incorrectly 10 times, Brute Force Protection cryptographically wipes the memory, permanently deletes data and resets the device.
The memory also offers two levels of read-only mode (write protection): a general mode that can be set by the administrator, and a session mode that can be set by the user. Read-only modes protect memory from malware on untrusted systems. Additionally, an administrator can upload content and set the overall read-only mode, which allows the user to access the data but not make changes.
FIPS 140-3 Level 3 Certification (pending)
KP200 memory now meets the new military-grade security specification, FIPS 140-3 Level 3, published by NIST. This is an extended version of the FIPS 140-2 specification, which further increases memory security and its resistance to physical tampering. Multi-PIN option

General and session read-only mode options
Both administrator and user can set the session to read-only mode to protect storage from malware on untrusted systems. The administrator can also set the general read-only mode, which will remain active until the memory is reset.
