Description:

The 850nm Multi-Mode SFP+DEM-431XT transceiver is designed for efficient operation over distances of up to 550 metres. The DEM431XT supports full duplex with 10-gigabit transfers over multi-mode fibre cables. The DEM-431XT is compatible with 802.3ae 10GBASE-SR and supports 802.3x full-duplex flow control. The DEM-431XT provides the necessary signal amplification for data transfer from the port to, and from the network cable.

Supporting 10G Ethernet and plugged into the SFP+ sockets of switches, D-Link’s 10G SFP + transceivers are interchangeable without interruption of service. The 10GBASE QSFP+ transceivers offer customers a wide range of 10G Ethernet connections in data centres, wiring wardrobes and service providers.

Improved Small Form-Factor format with connectivity

The transceiver uses the SFP+ (Enhanced Small Formfactor Pluggable) format. SFP+ is smaller than solutions such as Xenpak, X2 and 10G XFP, with lower cost, less power interference and higher port density. The DEM-431XT provides the necessary signal amplification for data transfer from the port to, and from, the network cable.

Interchangeable without interrupting service

All D-Link modules are interchangeable without interrupting operation. The transceiver can be connected while the system is switched on, causing no problems. This allows modules to be added or removed without affecting operation.

10G Ethernet speed

All modules support 10G Ethernet, which translates into very fast transmission speeds of up to 10 Gbit/s. This is 10 times faster than Gigabit Ethernet, enabling the switches to support faster and larger data transmissions suitable for business requirements.
