The switches, designed for small and medium-sized companies, are equipped with a unified software image including L2 and L3 layer functions, 10-gigabit ports, are characterized by higher port density thanks to physical stacking. All this enables the DGS-3130 series switches to be used in various environments and topologies, as well as in Metro Ethernet implementations.

Highest reliability

Advanced L2 and L3 features include port security, Storm Control, Spanning Tree Protocols, IGMP/MLD Snooping, and IPv6 ND. Management options include a browser-based user interface in multiple languages, industry-standard CLI support, multi-image support, and multiple configurations.

Six 10 Gigabit ports with physical stacking options for more ports, with built-in G.8032 Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS) that helps reduce recovery time to 50 ms. A USB 2.0 interface for storing configuration files, boot images, syslog, and support for additional redundant external power supplies on all models ensure maximum uptime.

Comprehensive security

They include the latest solutions such as Multi-layer, Packet Content Access Control Lists (ACL) and Storm Control. And the D-Link Safeguard Engine, designed to protect against data flooding caused by malicious attacks, maximizes business network uptime.

The IP-MAC-Port Binding feature allows you to bind a source IP address to a corresponding MAC address and define a port number to increase user access control. DHCP Snooping allows the switch to learn IP/MAC address pairs by keeping them in the IMPB whitelist, giving you additional control.

Easy Access Control Policies

They include multiple authentication mechanisms such as 802.1X, Web-based Access Control (WAC), and MAC-based Access Control (MAC) and are used for accurate access control and easy deployment. After authentication, individual policies such as VLAN membership, Quality of Service (QoS), and ACL rules can be assigned to each host.

A rich set of multi-layer QoS/CoS features always ensures priority for critical network services such as VoIP, video conferencing, IPTV and IP surveillance, and 10-gigabit ports provide adequate bandwidth. Traffic Shaping guarantees throughput for these services even when the network is busy. L2 Multicast support enables the DGS-3130 series switches to support IPTV applications.

Host-based IGMP/MLD Snooping enables multiple multicast subscribers over a physical interface, while ISM VLAN enables switches to send multiple streams over multicast VLANs to save bandwidth and provide better backbone protection. ISM VLAN profiles enable easy and quick association and exchange of predefined multicast registration information on the subscriber port. Selective Q-in-Q enables you to be selective over VLAN traffic.

PoE+ with a power budget of up to 740W2

The 30PS and 54PS models have a PoE power budget of 370W. After connecting additional power supplies, they can use 740W.
